Nicholas Wai

Nicholas Wai is an accredited executive coach with the International Coaching Federation. With a Master’s in Organisational Coaching from the University of Sydney and an MBA from London Business School, Nicholas has been coaching entrepreneurs, high-potential executives and team leaders since 2010 in a broad range of multinational industries including finance, insurance, hospitality, media and not-for-profit organisations.

Nicholas has more than ten years’ management experience at one of the largest international banking groups in Hong Kong. His experience of both large multinational and local entrepreneurial businesses helps him grasp the context and challenges of his clients quickly. He specialises in partnering with his clients as they uncover blind spots and hidden resources, not only in themselves, but also in their stakeholder network and context. He helps them step back and see the bigger picture without losing sight of the detail,        co-creating development plans and steps towards achieving their individual and organisational goals. Nicholas is passionate about bringing out the best in people and their organisations.

Active in promoting coaching in Hong Kong, Nicholas is currently the President of the Hong Kong International Coaching Community and was the Secretary of the ICF Hong Kong Chapter from 2011 to 2015. In helping clients and new coaches learn more about the inner working of coaching, Nicholas has co-authored three books, Much Ado about Coaching, Translating Coaching Codes of Practice and APAC Book of Wisdom.
