Dr Kavita Abraham-Dowsing

Dr Kavita Abraham-Dowsing is a Business Psychologist, Educator and Senior Executive Coach working in the fields of Organisational Behaviour, Culture, Communications and Change. She is a Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics in the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.

Kavita has spent the last 20+ years working and researching the Intercultural Dimension of Leadership, Communications and Change. Kavita has taught on Executive Leadership courses at London Business School, the London School of Economics and Kings College, London. She is a lecturer/educator in Corporate Communications, Research Methodology and Digital Data. She is the Culture Consultant on leading industry programmes including for Duke Corporate Education and the Academy of Advancing Excellence in diversity, equity and inclusion.

Kavita has significant experience of working with culture change and behaviour change at scale in global organisations. Her experience spans from being a Director of Research and Learning in the BBC World Service for over a decade, where she led a global team of 100 researchers across Africa, Asia and the MENA region, to building the capacity of local teams in Afghanistan working with Women Survivors of War. She has worked in the USA and Europe, and has significant experience in the Global South, coaching business leaders in conflict and fragile states like Burundi and Syria.

Kavita has worked with thought leaders from organisations such as the Gates Foundation, the Child Investment Fund Foundation, UNICEF and UN Women, the World Health Organisation and the Department for International Development (UK). She has coached  C-suite leaders in the technology, financial and health sectors including at the National Health Service(NHS), UK. Kavita started her career with AT Kearney where she worked across the automotive, telecommunications and public sectors. She has worked with Marks & Spencers, Orange, Inland Revenue and the Department for Work and Pensions, UK Government.

Kavita has lived in the UK, United Arab Emirates, India, Thailand, Indonesia and Zimbabwe.

Kavita is accredited as a coach by the International Coaching Federation – Professional Coach Certification. She is also certified as a Senior Transactional Analyst (Organisational and Educational).
