Following an early career in the theatre, advertising and management consultancy, Ant has spent the last 25 years as a leadership coach, mediator and facilitator working with business leaders and their senior teams in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US.
Clients have included Allen & Overy, Canon Research, Dixons Carphone, Deutsche Bank, Ericsson, IHG, The Man Group, Microsoft, Motorola, Shire plc, UBS, Viasat, White & Case.
Ant has particularly extensive experience with professional service firms, working with a number of leading global law firms since the early 2000s. This has included the design and delivery of global partner leadership programmes, partner coaching assignments (approx 300 partners over the past 10 years) and the facilitation of numerous international team and practice group off-sites.
Corporate Education with larger educational institutions has also been a part of Ant’s experience, as a faculty member on international management, coaching and leadership programmes with Duke CE and also in conjunction with the Cambridge Judge Business School.
Ant holds a BA (hons) in Fine Art and Drama, an MA in Psychological Coaching (distinction) from the Metanoia Institute, is a qualified coach supervisor with the Coaching Supervision Academy and a CEDR accredited mediator. His coach accreditation is with APECS (the Association of Professional Executive Coaches and Supervisors) for whom he was invited to serve as a board director since 2017.
Ant’s approach to coaching combines an understanding of human psychology, organisation complexity, and multiple coaching methodologies, integrated through reflective practice. Work is typically both transactional and transformational; working with the whole person and the issues they face.
His approach recognises that people truly grow and develop only as a result of their own decisions; decisions made in response to new and rediscovered insights. Ant is appreciated for generating new questions in the minds of those with whom he works – most of whom are experienced operators – new questions that link their existing perceptions and experience to a renewed understanding of themselves and the issues being explored.
